The results from the reunion survey are in!
(Thank you for taking it, by the way.) It looks like pretty much all of us were wanting the same thing. Everyone, except two, who took the survey expressed that if they were coordinating this event, they would
"make it simple, keep the cost LOW and focus on gathering old pals. Food and location doesn't matter that much to me." Also, sounds like we're all looking forward to seeing old pals from all classes. We're such a friendly bunch, aren't we?
I searched and searched for a low cost, easy-for-everyone type facility that would NOT require
pre-payments from guests to attend. Of the many places I contacted and/or visited, the only facility that fit this request was Sierra Gold. You'll be happy to know that
admission is FREE!! Wait, well, kind of...let me explain...I paid the room fee of $500. Donations toward this fee would be appreciated. (Details below.) We will have a private banquet room so we won't be bothering everyone else with all our loudness. You will be able to order/pay for your own food and drinks from a modified menu (very simple menu) that Sierra Gold is providing us. This allows us to NOT have to
pre-pay. Gotta love that.
OK, before we move on to the details, I need you remember to do 3 simple things:
- Read all this info carefully. There's a lot here, but it should help answer questions. If you do have questions, contact me with the subject title BHS REUNION.
- Please RSVP by clicking on the appropriate links below. RSVP for both the Friday Evening Reunion AND the Saturday Friends & Family Park Event.
- PASS THIS WEBSITE ON TO OTHERS. Please get the word out. Post it on your Facebook, Myspace or blog. Twitter, text it, email it or if you're old school, pick up a phone and call people....then do it over and over for the next month or so. We need to get the info out to as many as possible and you're help is needed to do so.
Class of 1994 AND FRIENDS...- Friends = any of the classes who hung out with us and all you CMHS-ers who we used to go to school with before the split. Some are still bitter about that. You know who you are. ;-)
- I want to set the expectation for the evening for everyone. The vast majority who took the survey said they were from the class of 1994. The class of 1993 was in 2nd place with 1992 and 1995 tied for 3rd. Everyone is invited and we're all looking forward to hanging out like the old days (well, maybe not really like the old days, we're older and wise now, right?) To the 'friends' of the class of 1994 ... know that this is an informal gathering of old school pals. If you live out of town and plan on flying in to see everyone from your class, you may want to wait for your 20 year reunion. Just want to make that clear so you're not disappointed.
- Also, going along with setting the expectation for the evening, this is a 15 year reunion. Usually only 10, 20, 30 year, etc reunions are coordinated. So, this will be a VERY INFORMAL night with the main purpose of getting us together to hang out. Come as you are, forget the Botox and the massive weight loss diet...just show up and have a good time. ;-)

Many of you said it would be fun to meet up at the assembly
and then roam the halls after. If you're interested, show up.
Believe it or not, there are still quite a few teachers
there from our time. I'm sure they'd love to see ya.

Only about half surveyed said they were interested in attending
the Homecoming football game. If you'd like to go, contact your pals
and meet up at the game. I can't be there since I'll need to set up for the reunion, so if someone would like to take charge of creating a meeting place for reunion goers at the game just contact me and I'll update this site. If not, you're on your own for the game.

Like mentioned above, donations toward the $500 room fee would be appreciated. There will be someone at the door to collect cash donations. Times are tough, so feel free to give as little or as much as you are able. If the donations exceed the needed amount, the extra funds will go toward the necessary required room deposits for the 20 year reunion.

Deadline for submitting photos: October 15th. I'm looking for someone who is able and willing to take on this project. I'll need it completed at least a week before the event. You'll need to come early to set it up, as well. Contact me for details.
I'll also need assistance with making name tags. Tiffany Audelo Ermi (class of '93) has already volunteered. Thanks, Tiff! It would be great to gather more help for her.
Decor - if you have any BHS memorabilia you could share to decorate with, let me know. I'll need it at least a week before the event. Who knows, I just may sneak over to Bonanza and make an old school butcher paper & paint sign. heh heh
I'd love to have a Face Painter and a Balloon Animal Guy at the Park Event for the kiddos.
